An allergy occurs when your immune system overreacts to a substance that is harmless to most people. In 2007 The Australasian Society of Clinic Immunology and Allergy reported approximately 4 million Australians had an allergy. These numbers seem to be increasing.

Allergic reactions can cause a variety of symptoms, including:
Hayfever -allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, itching, redness, watery eyes.
Anaphylaxis -potentially life threatening allergy)
Eczema -hives, itchy welts.
Asthma -shortness of breath, wheezing, tightness in the chest, coughing.
Nasal itching, sneezing, postnatal drip, sinus congestion.
Abdominal cramping

Diarrhoea
